Hi, we are a small cafe in Kentish Town known for our coffee and delicious food. A lot of what we make is counter food apart from the hot dishes that we serve. We also happen to be vegan.
It’s the middle of Summer and we are looking for full time staff to work with us at the cafe and in the prep kitchen nearby where we prep most of what we do. We need three people to join:
Someone with food prep experience to start straight away.
Someone with front of house and barista experience to start in mid to late July, and
Someone to start mid to late September with front of house and barista experience.

Here’s a few requirements of what we’re looking for:
Coffee role: minimum 1 year experience with scales and timing shots. Ridiculously good customer service skills whilst being able to work fluidly in a multi person operation behind the bar. 'Cafe eyes' and 'cafe ears' where you hear and see what’s needed of you before it is asked of you.
Food role: 2 years experience in a kitchen or with food prep
A basic knowledge of how a commercial kitchen works, in terms of recording, hygiene stock control, ordering etc… You must be fast, clean, consistent, and multi skilled. A passion for vegetables, a desire to have input in menus and confidence with adding flavor and flair to humble veg.
Everyone who works with us:
- experience in a fast paced environment;
- an eye for presentation;
- down to earth positive attitude; -following thorough instructions and taking criticism from colleagues, management and customers and learn/grow from it;
-be organized and be willing do extra hours if needed in order to ensure smooth running of the business;
-be able to foresee what might be asked of you, communicating well in a team and taking initiative;
-Love early mornings, work weekends;
-live local.
Your customer service skills are going to have to be top level.
We are a London Living Wage Employer, which means the minimum we pay our staff is 9.75. On top of that you get holiday pay at the end of each month based on hours worked. (This is not rolled-up holiday, but additional to the 9.75).
