Kitchen Runner for the Restaurant

JOB PURPOSE:
Support and help the Head Chef, Sous Chefs. To understand the importance of ensuring that food quality for both guests and staff is the best standard possible. To take food from the kitchen to the bar and restaurant.
MAIN DUTIES
Produce all necessary MEP for all food service operations as required as instructed by the Sous chefs and Head Chef.
To follows instructions from supervisor in the preparation of all items needed for service.
To ensure Service MEP output is maintained in accordance to levels set by supervisors.
To ensure that all crockery is kept under optimum conditions.
To ensure that all mise-en-place is always ready on time.
Ask for assistance when checking the passes to make sure nothing is missed and correct level is ready. Checking the amount of stock prior that.
When unsure of something always check with chef on duty.
To ensure that during service all food is sent to the correct floorsas requested by the senior team in the kitchen
To ensure that his/her section is being kept clean and tidy at all times.
To understand and comply with food hygiene regulations.
To ensure that any anticipated shortages are communicated promptly to the Sous chef or head chef.
To follow Health and Safety Policies and Procedures in every aspect and to be COSSH trained.
Ensure correct handover is written after your shift so the chef taking over section has understanding of what needs to be done as a priority.
To ensure that all equipment is clean, in good working order, maintained and report any maintenance issue following company procedure.

The positions available are full time and permanent and are available immediately. A valid working visa is required; working at the weekend is an essential part of the job.
