The Queen’s Club is a world renowned private Members rackets club with a rare opportunity for a permanent (40 hour, excluding breaks) experienced porter to join our small and friendly kitchen team.
We are a seven day operation, and the role is a mixture of working early shifts from 7am and late shifts finishing at 11.30pm normally operating on 5 shifts over any of the 7 days including weekends and bank holidays. We also have a thriving functions business and there will be occasions when there is a need to finish after midnight (and later). There is a need to undertake overtime and on the busiest weeks six day working will be required.
Besides servicing the needs of the chefs, kitchen hygiene is a large and important part of the role. There will also be the need to help with supplier deliveries, fetching food for the chefs and maintaining the cleanliness of the fridges and freezers.
We can offer a generous salary and benefits package which include meals on duty and the opportunity to take part in our discretionary bonus schemes. The role will require physical lifting and carrying and as the working hours can be unpredictable the successful candidate would benefit from living within easy access to our W14 location. You must have the right to live and work in the UK without restriction and have a reasonable standard of spoken English.
Interested? Please send your CV to James Cornewall-Walker, Head of Food and Beverage by 11th November 2022.
