An exciting opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our fun, cool, informal Asian restaurant. Comprising some 60 covers including an al-fresco terrace, ULI is busy for lunch and dinner 7 days a week with a fashionable, loyal, local Notting Hill following. 
We serve fresh, honest and simple Asian food, always made from scratch with an emphasis on the more healthy aspects of Asian cuisine. Our brand is Informal and fun, but with a focus on providing excellence in service and food. 
We are looking for someone to work 25 hours over the weekend who is detail orientated, understands how to keep a kitchen complaint with health and safety regulations and can maintain a cool head when working under pressure.
Job specification:
To clean and maintain cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen, clean cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery and to transport food or kitchen equipment as required. Assisting the Chefs in preparation of food and other manual tasks in the kitchen.
• Receives all goods, checks temperature on arrival of high risk foods and checks for any non-conforming products or discrepancies and informs the Head Chef of any changes
• Stores all goods following correct Company procedure
• To report and where possible take action for any incidents or accidents, fire, loss, theft, damage or other occurrences
• Work to Rota displayed in kitchen
• Attend meetings and/or training sessions as required
• Work in a safe and tidy manner at all times, ensuring I consider my colleagues
• Inform the Head Chef when cleaning materials and personal protective clothing need to be ordered
Candidate Profile:
• Hardworking with a good work ethic and attitude to learn.
• Understanding of kitchen standards
• Understanding of health and Safety procedures with in a kitchen environment
