The Role:
The Kitchen Porter at The Grove Ealing is an important role within the kitchen ensuring that everything is neat and tidy back of house whilst also helping to make sure the kitchen runs smoothly at all times. You will be required to complete various ad hoc tasks such as replenishment of stock, cleaning pots, crockery and cutlery and other duties requested by the Senior Chef on duty.
This role can provide you with a fast track journey in the kitchen and becoming a junior chef with us however this comes with dedication, commitment and passion is everything that you do!
Day to Day Duties:
• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand.
• Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas.
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
• Stock supplies such as food and utensils in serving stations, cupboards and refrigerators.
• Sweep and scrub floors
• Clean rubbish bins with water or steam
• Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
• Clean and prepare various foods for cooking or serving.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
• experience in a related field, preferably in hotels or restaurants a plus.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Intermediate spoken English and reading skills.
Pay and benefits:
• You will be on a hourly rate (negotiable depending on experience)
• 4-Weekly payment scheme
