Kitchen Porter £8.50 per hour
Job Summary
A Kitchen Porter is required for various cleaning and housekeeping duties in our large and well equipped modern kitchen which serves over 100 meals a day to residents, staff and visitors in a family style care home for the elderly located between Oval and Vauxhall Station.
The duties include

General cleaning of the ancillary areas of the kitchen.
Filling the dishes for the various services and placing in the hot trolleys.
Helping with simple preparation of food e.g. Preparing/peeling of vegetables.
Temperature Control: to include Fridges, Freezers, Hot Trolleys, prepared Food.
Cleaning of kitchen equipment, washing of pots and pans and utensils used in the preparation of the meals.
Sorting and storing deliveries which will involve lifting.
Generally helping the person in charge.

This is a permanent Part-time position working 30 hours a week, Monday to Sunday five days out of seven. The day shift runs two shifts, from 8.a.m. To 16:00.p.m. And 11.a.m. To 4.p.m.
The hourly rate for this role is £8.50,
Free training, overalls and parking provided.
As this is a care home a DBS check (formerly Criminal Records Bureau check) and two references will be required.
