We are currently looking for a permanent Kitchen Porter to join the Kitchen at the Union Jack Club.
The successful Kitchen Porter will be responsible for cleaning all kitchen areas in the Club in compliance with the current Food and Hygiene Legislation and as specified by the Head Chef.
We are looking for a Kitchen Porter who have the following attributes:
* A motivated and can do attitude
* An enthusiastic and positive approach to work and the team
* Ability to work under pressure and in a team environment
Your main duties include:
•To ensure all surfaces are clean, sweep and mop the floors through the day.
•To ensure all cooking equipment, utensils and kitchen machinery are clean
•To ensure all cooking equipment and utensils are stored correctly and to the required standard
•To ensure the correct disposal of all waste food products
•The receiving and checking of food produce delivery to the Club
•The correct storage and security of all food produce
•To ensure that all staff are properly trained in order to maintain and progress consistent standard of hygiene and cleanliness in designated areas.
REQUIREMENTS:
All applicants must have the following functional skills, knowledge and experience:
• experience working as a kitchen porter in a hotel environment is ideal
• Must be a good team player and organiser
• Should have the ability to work under pressure
• Must be an effective listener and communicator
• Must have a good level of spoken English
