We are an established pub in Clapton, E5 looking for a kitchen porter to join our team. You will be working to maintain a clean and efficient working environment in the kitchen and food storage areas. As well as washing up and keeping the kitchen clean and tidy you will be helping the chefs with some basic food preparation, so an existing interest in food would be beneficial. An understanding of health and safety and food hygiene would be great too, however experience is not essential as long as you are a team player and willing to work hard. A good understanding of english is important as communication with the rest of the kitchen is key.
We have become a popular local pub and restaurant over the past four years offering a British produce led menu. Our food could be described as modern British but we also take inspiration from across Europe and beyond. We have become well known for our Sunday Roasts and have many regular customers. We are proud to have good relationships with our suppliers of both food and drink.
We have a great selection of local Beers and Ales, a large selection of spirits, and a fantastic mostly European wine list.
The pub itself is a huge old Victorian building originally built in 1803. There's a large dining area, horseshoe bar and two beer gardens / courtyards.
