Kitchen Porter/Assistant
We are looking for a Kitchen Porter who is a team player and has a can-do attitude. The role requires all the basics of a kitchen porter but we’d also like someone who desires working their way up through the kitchen ranks by learning additional skills from our talented staff.
Role Responsibility
• All dish and pot cleaning and kitchen cleaning duties
• Ability to communicate well with other kitchen staff (currently all English-speaking) in a polite and efficient manner
• Insuring kitchen laundry is done appropriately
• Ensure all duties are carried out to the highest possible standards following all health and Safety guidelines.
• Punctual and efficient

• To accept, check, rotate and store all kitchen deliveries
• To undertake all deliveries ensuring they are stored as per Company policies
• To undertake any additional task as directed by the Line Manager
• To complete any administration as requested including food temperatures, wastage and cleaning schedules, food dating, etc
• To ensure the kitchen, Kitchenette and Pantry are maintained in a clean, organised manner ensuring all food safety and health and safety policies and procedures are followed.
• To undertake training and comply with all Company policies and procedures
• To raise any issues to the Catering Manager in a timely manner.
• To listen and forward any customer suggestions or complaints to the Line Manager
Required experience:
• some kitchen experience: 1 year
Hours, wage and benefits
• £7.50/hour
• The job is an average of 35/hours a week mostly week day work. However you need to have the flexibility to work up to 60 hours/week in busy periods. The average work week will be 10am-4pm Monday-Friday.
• Paid holidays and 10 days paid sick leave/year (after probationary period)
