Skipping Rocks Lab is an innovative, London based Startup whose mission is 'to make packaging disappear'. We make a natural, flexible packaging for liquids that biodegrades in 4-6 weeks using a production machine of our own design.
We’re looking for someone to support production of our product and eventually to operate the machine themselves.
Your day-to-day tasks may include:
Operating production machine.
Measuring, prepare and feeding batches of beverages and raw materials into production machinery.
Finishing products, for example cutting the product into individual units.
Checking the quality of the product, for example discarding units with defects.
Cleaning and maintaining work areas and machinery.
Packing goods ready for shipment.
Monitoring the production process, for example writing down units produced and volumes of materials used.
Storing goods and raw materials in the warehouse.
We’re looking for someone who has:
Good practical skills;
The ability to work quickly and methodically;
The ability to concentrate while doing repetitive tasks;
The ability to follow instructions.
Ideally you will have:
A hospitality background;
Level 2 Food Safety Course;
An interest in the environmental and helping to build a better world!
Working conditions:
9Am – 6pm (variable) with 1 hr lunch break.
Location is Bethnal Green
Likely 2 - 5 days per week, depending on workload.
