King's College School, Wimbledon one of the most successful independent day schools in the UK, is looking to appoint a catering assistant to work within a team of 23 staff in the Catering department. Working in a modern well-equipped environment, this position assists the delivery of lunches to over 1400 people on a daily basis during term time and regular school functions throughout the term.
As part of the catering team the general catering assistant will serve lunches, ensure the counters are Topped up throughout the lunch service, prepare afternoon teas and trolleys, clear tables and clean the dining hall and kitchen as required.
Salary: circa £14,500 pa
Normal working hours: 27.5 hours, 11.30am – 5pm, Monday to Friday for 37 weeks of the year, plus an additional 2 hours on both Monday and Friday (4 hours extra per week) for c.33 weeks of the year. There is also a requirement for a further 4 hours every Saturday during term-time (c.33 weeks per year) to cover the provision of teas at school functions.
This is a term-time position plus an additional 3 to 4 weeks to be worked during school holidays, depending on the length of the academic year (37 weeks per annum in total)
