Female live in carer/companion wanted to join friendly team, caring for for pleasantly confused, gentle, elderly lady in leafy Richmond/Twickenham area of South London. Carer must be kind, experienced, well-organised, well-educated, and mature. Non-smoker. Generous pay, working with friendly family. No pets. Own room in comfortable house. Alternating one or two-week shifts normally preferred; other live in care options available, including occasional relief work. Reliability, integrity and flexibility are essential. The main live in care position will be available from towards the end of January. The Live In Carer will take on a senior lead role, working closely with the team of domiciliary carers who visit four times each day; assisting with movement and personal care.
For this Live In position, we offer starting pay in excess of £800 + per week, rising to £900 + per week, following satisfactory completion of a probation period. You must be eligible to work in the UK, and have a valid National Insurance Number. You may choose to work as a salaried employee (Paye), or on a self-employed freelance basis. If you choose to work freelance, then you must hold Carer's insurance, and you must have verified self-employed status with HMRC.
Because this lead role requires maturity and experience, only applicants over the age of 40 will normally be considered. Recent Enhanced CRB/DBS check desirable, but can be arranged for you if yours is more than 6 months old. Applicants must have verified experience of moving/handling, and dealing with pleasant confusion/dementia as a live-in carer. experience of sitting/standing hoists desirable. Fluent English is essential. Nursing/Medical experience is advantageous, but not essential. Preference is normally given to applicants who live reasonably local to the Richmond/Twickenham area, but we are also happy to review suitably qualified and experienced applicants from outside of this area.
