Our client is a supply chain operator ranking in the top companies in Europe and the World. As a lead logistics provider, providing end-to-end solutions enabled by its infrastructure, its people, processes and systems.
In this job your department will provide integrated logistics solutions for customers specialising in the Projects / Oil and Gas sector.
Responsibilities:
• Receiving and checking purchase order details from customer
• Liaison / expediting with suppliers regarding goods readiness dates/terms of sale
• Arranging collections and deliveries
• Arrange packing of cargo as required
• Requesting/receiving/checking export documents from suppliers
• Consolidation of cargo for export by all transport Modes
• Booking space with carriers
• Completing export documentation
• Maintaining/updating in house and external bespoke IT track and trace systems
• Other duties as required and commensurate with the position
Duties Include:
• Close liaison with customer, suppliers and packers
• Close working relationship with office and warehouse colleagues
• Good interface with other worldwide operations as required
• Maintenance of IT track and trace systems
• Maintenance of external internet portals
Key Requirements:
• Educated to ‘O’ and or ‘A’ level standard or equivalent
• Knowledge of international air/sea/road Freight Forwarding
• experience in UK customs formalities
• Knowledge/fluency in French and/or other European languages an advantage
• Some commercial experience would also be an advantage
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good personal presentation
• Flexibility on working hours
Skill Requirements:
• Good computer skills
• Able to communicate fluently in English
• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
• Good team player
• IT Literate (Working knowledge of MS Excel would be an advantage)
