About Us
We are a small educational charity in the complementary health field looking for an office assistant to help with the day to day running of administration and become a member of our small team.
Role
To ensure we get the right person and both parties are happy with the role we ask that the candidate volunteer for 1 week subject to successfully passing the interview. After this period this is a part time job for 3 days a week paid.
Job Details
Job title: Office Administrator
Hours per week: 5 Days a week, 09:30am -5:30pm – 1 hour lunch – flexible with days of the week
Duties and responsibilities:
- Processing membership renewals;
- Inputting details on access
- Processing payments
- Photocopying and Filing Information
- Issuing workshop details and CPD certificates
- Dealing with telephone enquiries and directing members of the public to pages on the website
- Sending out agendas for meetings
- Ordering Stationary
- Dealing with membership enquiries
- Preparing papers for mail outs
- Preparing power points
- Mailing out magazine
- Entering bank deposits and petty cash on excel spread sheets
- Dealing with general letters and correspondence;
- Helping set up and take down exhibitions; giving out information to the general public and coordinating volunteer massages time table;
Skills Required
- Good Telephone manner
- Knowledge of Microsoft, excel, Power Point
- Knowledge of access database desired but not mandatory
- Capable to work under pressure and independently
- Confident at letter writing and sourcing templates on the internet
- Friendly with a can do attitude
