Job Title: Junior Front-end developer

About the position
Made Simple is a busy and vibrant company, offering a range of business products and services to start-up companies and small businesses. We’re looking for a motivated and tech-savvy Junior Front-end developer to translate wireframes and designs into functional, user friendly web pages.
Main responsibilities
- Translate wireframes and designs into code that will bring web designs to life
- Implement website improvements – write the programming code, either from scratch or by adapting. Make changes from fixing typos to building cross-browser compatible landing pages
- Build reusable code and templates to add to our style guide for future use
- Help back-end developers with testing and troubleshooting
- Assist the Conversion team with A/B test setup
- Ensure high quality graphic standards and brand consistency
- Maintain workflow management with Git Hub and Bitbucket
- Proactively find solutions to technical and design problems, noting best practices and take care of implementation.
Requirements
- Education or experience. A BSc in Computer Science or relevant field or proven work experience in web development.
- Code master. Advanced level of web languages, in particular HTML, CSS and Java Script – you can build cross-browser compatible, responsive, web pages in your sleep. Strong experience using Bootstrap of similar frameworks.
- Tech savvy. Excellent troubleshooting and testing skills, power Googler, shortcut guru.
- Customer focused. Excellent end-user empathy. User-centered design by default.
- Starter-finisher. A passion for problem solving and able to meet tight deadlines whilst remaining calm under pressure.
- Design-oriented. Understanding of layout aesthetics/UX design beneficial.
- Team player. An excellent communicator, willing to pitch in and multitask.
- Curious learner. Proactive, fast learner, eager to develop your skill set. Full stack experience (or interest) is a bonus e.g. Server configuration, networking, back-end development.
