OVERVIEW OF ROLE
The individual will work alongside two other members of the pantry. Working as a team, they will be responsible for the upkeep and service of meeting rooms and also be responsible for stock taking and ordering certain items. Delivery can vary from plated service for 2, to a buffet lunch for 50, or an evening function for over 100 serving canapés.
This role would suit someone who is in the early stages of their career in catering and hospitality and is looking to build on their existing experience by learning from other team members.
MAIN DUTIES
• Responsibility for the service of teas, coffees to all meeting rooms
• Assist with the preparation and service in the Dining room
• Responsibility for the pantry housekeeping
• Ensuring that the Pantry and Kitchen are kept spotlessly clean and tidy
• Assisting other team members ensuring that the team delivers a first-class service
QUALIFICATIONS AND experience
• Previous experience required
• City and Guilds qualification is desirable
• Educated to A-Level or equivalent
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Committed to delivering a high level of customer service with the ability to respond quickly to meet the needs of the business
• Well presented with a professional attitude
• Team player
• Flexibility in working hours is required
• Proactive
• Reliable
• Ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast paced environment
