Junior Delegate Sales Executive Vacancy

SUMMARY
Working as a member of the delegate audience team you will be involved in all aspects of delegate acquisition and sales, including sourcing new clients, building existing industry relationships and maintaining data in the CRM.
You will be involved in B2B telesales, cross selling and up-selling clients on DCD conferences in North America and EMEA, as well as guesting end user clients.
The job will require working onsite at DCD conferences. This role involves end-to-end client management including: telesales, record keeping, invoicing, client facing event registration desk work, resolving client issues, documentation, and database use.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. B2B telesales, contacting existing clients about new events, products and services.
Source relevant contacts within data centres, IT and facilities management and operations. Add them to the CRM system and send relevant marketing material to them. Implement team campaigns as instructed, managed end-to-end client relationships and provide feedback.
2. Conduct strategic Audience Development telephonic campaigns as per the end user guesting strategy.
3. Actively researching and understanding the conference focus and program which you are promoting to keep clients and fellow staff informed of news and relevant developments within the Data Centre Market.
4. Communicating with potential delegates and guests, explaining how the programme and the benefits of attendance at DCD events worldwide can assist those working in the data centre and information technology mission critical industry.
5. Pitching to clients and leads in a bespoke manner, ensuring that you are persistent and provide a high level of customer service at all times.
6. Ensuring that all leads and contacts are followed up in a timely manner.
7. Maintaining the company CRM system; ensuring that all information is accurate and relevant and recording all activity. Booking people on to relevant events and confirming registrations.
8. Collaborate with the marketing team to understand marketing campaigns which are being sent out and advise on how data is performing
9. Working closely with finance team to ensure all payments are made prior to attendance at events or training.
10. Communicating and liaising with the sponsorship team for potential event sponsors
11. Communicating contact details with the Content and Editorial teams for potential speakers, panellists, news and content.
12. Onsite event work including the time required for travel and preparation, as well as performance of pre and post event activities, and other duties as instructed throughout the event by management and coordinators.
13. Working on platforms such as LinkedIn in order to generate new leads and close business
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
• Telesales and telemarketing experience; ideally business to business.
• High standard of interpersonal skills, professional confidence and tenacity.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Proficient computer skills: Microsoft Office, CRM and databases.
• Excellent communication - both verbal and written.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Very limited travel may be required, depending upon the event you are assigned to.
Flexibility towards working hours is required, as you may work on a North American event.
