We are a busy children's nursery based in the heart of Chiswick (W4), London. We are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic and a reliable Junior Kitchen Chef to join our happy team. You will be working with the Head Chef.
A genuine interest in food is essential. The role of the junior chef will be to clean and maintain the kitchen and assist the Head Chef to provide nutritionally balanced, freshly prepared meals for the children in our care.
Monday - Friday: 35 hours a week (10:30 a.m - 5:30 p.m)
£7.50 per hour
Accountable to: Head Chef/Nursery Manager
Requirements:
• Two satisfactory references
• A DBS check (we will apply for it)
• You would need to complete a Food Hygiene course, if you haven’t done already (we will pay for it)
Tasks and Accountabilities:
• Ensure that the kitchen is spotlessly clean at all times.
• Ensure that all shelves are neat and tidy.
• Deposit the kitchen bin liner in the outside bin ensuring that the bin liner is tied securely prior to placing it in there.
• Assist the Head Chef with the day to day running of the kitchen and cooking nutritionally balanced meals.
• Help serve cooked meals to children in our care.
• In the absence of the Head Chef, the Junior Chef will be taking full charge of the kitchen.
• To adhere strictly to Food Hygiene Regulations and other safety procedures at all times.
