Job ref 2100 Junior CAD Technician Salary - GBP27,000 annum Location - East Central London The Company This a niche Building Services consultancy that provides Building Services design for clients based in numerous parts of the world. They have been established for over 20 years and work out of modern, vibrant offices in East London. Their current portfolio includes the design of Building Services to High-End hotels at Heathrow, new and refurbishment of Commercial office space in The City and Canary Wharf together industrial and pharmaceutical project outside of London. And that international work as well! They use all the latest design tools including BIM, CAD and Thermal modelling and actively encourage personal CPD.The Role Computer Aided Design (CAD) is a major part of our Client's service offering and they have an established team of CAD Technicians who work closely with the engineering design teams to create fully co-ordinated designs that lead to efficient installation and build. They require a 2D Mechanical and Electrical (MEP) Draughtsman that has a good understanding of AutoCAD and who wants to further their career. The successful CAD technician will be given training where required to:- Preparing Architects drawings as x references- Amending Mechanical and Electrical drawings (including Schematics) to Engineers mark ups- Producing co-ordinated, multi-service (MEP) CAD drawings with minimal instruction- Liaising directly with the Engineering team to ensure we meet client needs and projects aredelivered on programme- Assisting Engineers with drawings both Mechanical and Electrical building services You will be required to produce, but not be limited to, Schematics, Risers, Plant Rooms, Cupboard details, Soils and Waste, Mains Distributions and Electrical drawings. Qualifications* A proven knowledge of 2d AutoCAD use within an MEP Building Services environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established team and learn new AutoCAD 2d and 3d skills.
