About buzzhire
Buzz Hire is the fastest growing Startup in the staffing industry. We leverage technology to change the way people find temporary work and businesses request short-term staff. We’re well funded, growing fast, and transforming the world of temp recruitment. Launched in 2015, this is a unique opportunity to be part of an ambitious project working with a vibrant, international and young team.

The role

That’s us, let’s talk about you. You will be a bright and switched on Junior Business Analyst. Your domain will be operations and logistics, playing a key role on the team to ensure Buzz Hire has all the most efficient systems and correct components in place to be a well-oiled machine. You’ll be out and about, running around to make sure no ball gets dropped, and you’re going to get your hands super duper dirty. You will be trained to gather, interpret and document customer business requirements. Analyse how we operate, develop operational strategies, focus on logistics and optimization. You’ll need an attention to detail, have a knack for complex planning, and a willingness to learn anything and everything that goes into scaling, developing and operating a business. The role works closely with colleagues to develop and test application functionality. You will produce detailed functional specifications and analysis that will drive the design, development and test phases of our product.

This position is meant for those of you who challenge the status quo on a daily basis, seek and desire to radically change the inefficiencies in the world, and get what it means to build movements and not just machines.

The role will initially start as a 3-month internship and lead to confirmed full-time employment.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage processes that are locally relevant, but scale nationally.
• Testing the product across multiple platforms and devices to ensure that nothing but the best quality is being released.
• Working alongside product owners, developers and designers, you will be assisting in the product side of the business.
• Develop operational dashboards and be the master of all things metrics to help develop growth strategies that allow the teams to operate efficiently.
• Collaborate with product, analytics and operations in developing the tools and systems our team needs to scale internationally.

Requirements

• A 2.1 degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business-related subject.
• Can-do attitude with an eagerness to learn and get involved. You take the initiative, hustle and do whatever it takes to achieve your goals.
• An analytical mind with the ability to write a plan to get from A to B.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Be positive, assertive, persistent, persuasive, and a good listener and a willingness to get your hands super duper dirty. Nothing is below you. Being on the ground, in the thick of things, is where you thrive.

Perks and benefits

Working in a fast-paced start-up experience in a high growth company. What more could you want? Working at a start-up means being part of a small team for someone that wants to grow professionally and also be seen as an integral part of the business. Rather than working within a large company, your work will consistently be recognised. We believe this is the strength of working within a small start-up company, as your work is even more crucial in our team environment.

• Being part of an informal and social team atmosphere with a casual dress code.
• With over 30 of London’s best technology start-ups, you will be working in a dynamic start up in the vibrant Hoxton and Shoreditch area. The building hosts a range of intercompany events, such as Ping pong tournaments and even a monthly presentation and lunch by one of the start up firms in the building.
• Work with a high-performance team who will fight beside you in the trenches to accomplish the amazing huge learning opportunity: you will be working closely to seasoned entrepreneurs.
• Everyone matters, no matter what your role is!
• We also offer 25 days paid holiday, a discretionary bonus scheme, training opportunities (including in-house events focusing on business leadership, innovation and technology) and many internal social events, including a monthly team breakfast, monthly team events and a bi-weekly in-house pub quiz.
