We are looking for a caretaker for our daughters who are 3 and 5 years old. Both kids are fluent in English and go to kindergarden (8:30 am – 3:00 pm). The person will be responsible for them after the school hours (3pm) until they go to bed (8pm). On the weekends, and when there is no school, the hours will be full day (8am-8pm). We would like our kids to spend good quality time with this person, to read books, to learn about various topics, to play games, to do arts and crafts, and to spend time outdoors. It is important that the person likes kids, and can set up games. She will be helping the kids with their homework, and preparing their food, and helping them with the bath. No cleaning, washing/ironing will be expected.
The person needs to be fluent in English but can be a native speaker of another language, we would love the opportunity to introduce our girls to a new language. We like to travel, with and without kids, and when we travel with the kids, the caretaker will join us.
We do have a private bedroom and bathroom to accommodate the caretaker. We will offer all meals for those hours that she is with us.
The package will include one day a week off, and 3 weeks a year vacation time. We will also sponsor the work permit. Depending on the person’s level of experience, we are ready to offer £1,500 NET per month. The person should be aware that cost of living in Turkey is considerably lower than that of London.
The person who takes care of our kids is very important for us. We both work full time and want our kids to spend time with someone creative, attentive, and smart. She does not need to be a nanny, she can be a less experienced person, an au pair. The most important criteria is that she likes spending time with kids, and her references. We would like her to commit to 1 year minimum. We would need someone to start in August or September at the very latest as our wonderful nanny is returning to the UK after a year and a half spent with us. We can also have someone start as early as Jun if they prefer.
We will be in London on the 18th-19th of May to conduct interviews, in the meantime we have asked our London contact Shana to do the initial selection and screening. You will be contacted by her.
