Enoteca Super Tuscan is currently recruiting for experienced kitchen staff to join our small team.
We are passionate about sourcing excellent quality Italian ingredients and produce and want someone who shares our passion in Italian food to join us.
Applicants must have an excellent knowledge of Italian cuisine and at least two years of restaurant kitchen experience in an Italian restaurant.
As a member of our team you can expect a high level of training in our menu and way of working. We always look to evolve our menu by sourcing seasonal ingredients and cooking them in traditional dishes or even adding a twist to traditional dishes where appropriate.
We believe in fresh food and operate from an open but small kitchen in full view of our customers. We run a core menu and a range of specials, which tend reflect what is seasonal.
You should understand the workings of a commercial kitchen, have an excellent understanding of health and hygiene and be always conscious of avoiding and minimizing waste. Ideally you should have already undergone formal HACCP training and gained the appropriate level 2 qualification.
We are a small organization and the kitchen staff work together as a small team sharing the cooking duties as well as the cleaning of both cookware and the kitchen itself. We expect excellent cooking and an excellence in cleaning from all our kitchen staff.
Our philosophy is about sourcing excellent Italian ingredients and cooking them simply. We pride ourselves on producing food as you would expect to eat it in Italy.
The ideal candidate will be hard working and have a passion for Italian food and be willing to adapt to our way of working. This is certainly NOT the job for people with attitude / inflated ego, who think they know it all already or who are unable to take direction and unable to work in a VERY CALM MANNER in a high pressure kitchen environment. Nor is it a job for clock-watchers or those who think they are only suitable for cooking and are above doing other essential kitchen duties such as cleaning pans / dishes and the kitchen during and after each shift!
