Lina Stores is an Italian delicatessen and Soho institution that has recently introduced dine-in table service to showcase its exceptional homemade pasta and produce.
The deli sells an unrivalled range of Italian cured meats, cheeses, antipasti, fresh and dry pasta and traditional cupboard essentials.
Customers are able to enjoy many of the shop’s homemade dishes, fresh pasta cooked to order and a selection of cold platters on the outside tables and dine-in counter (16 covers) as well as Italian wines, Beers and cocktails.
Requirements:
We are looking for a skilled retail assistant who also has some experience in table service. Applicants must be confident in their ability to discuss Italian produce and answer questions from customers as well as advise on the best uses for many products. Applicants must have experience in using meat slicers, coffee machines and cutting cheeses.
Fluency in English and Italian is essential as well as a UK bank account and NI number.
This is a permanent position.
Duties:
- Serve customers in-store
- Manage tables and serve dine-in customers
- Prepare simple dishes such as Panini and meat/cheese platters, serve wine and prepare cocktails
- Assist in stock takes and stock management
- Maintain product displays
- Assist in general shop upkeep and cleaning
Hours:
25 to 40 hours per week. Flexibility will be required as some times of the year are busier than others.
