IT Systems Administrator for Web Agency

London agency seeking experienced Systems Administrator for managing Web Hosting Infrastructure in a windows/Linux environment. We are looking for a Web hosting specialist with strong IIS, SQL and DNS knowledge on Windows and LAMP platform. You will need a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Dev Ops environment with above mid-level IIS and SQL experience that you can demonstrate.
We are looking for someone who wants to be a web hosting specialist supporting.Net, Word Press and Drupal sites - this is a big opportunity to take your skills to the next level.
You will be working alongside our Development and Design teams with the support of systems architects experts from our datacenter and the systems architect who built our platform (who puts in some freelance support each month).
You will provision new services and resolve incidents, setting up staging sites on Microsoft and Linux platforms for dev and design team, granting SFTP access to developers, clients and designers to different root directories
You should have good understanding of DNS (A, CNAME, TXT, SPF and MX records) and Active Directory services. You should enjoy day-to-day management of infrastructure, including Microsoft patching, anti-virus monitoring, IPS/IDS monitoring.
You will be up for the challenge of taking ownership of monitoring systems to ensure uptime of our platform. Manage live service incidents. Respond to alerts generated by our monitoring systems and perform a Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Be able to solve issues where you are the last port of call.

We have a lot of kit (see below). We don’t expect you to be an expert on all of this, but you should be an expert on some of it, and be happy to Broaden your skills and learn about the rest.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
=================
Microsoft Windows 2008/2012 and associated services DNS (A, CNAME, MX, TXT, etc,), Active Directory and Group Policies
IIS 7.5, 8 and 8.5 and SQL Server 2012, 2014
experience with Apache, Nginx, MySQL, PHP on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, 14.04 LTS, 16.04 LTS
A good understanding of TCP/IP networking and administration experience based on Cisco/Dell switching hardware
Familiarity of various Linux distributions (Debian and Ubuntu)
experience with administering Cisco ASA 5520 Firewall
DESIRABLE / KEEN TO LEARN ABOUT

Phpmyadmin, Webmin, Varnish, Memcache
SSL deployments on windows/Linux platforms following best practices.
NAS, Dell MD 3200i SAN based storage (iSCSI, NFS and Fibre Channel), Dell Power Edge R/M series servers
Virtualisation and administering a private cloud using Hyper-V
Mail server, Office 365, MDaemon SMTP services and Version control.
Backup tools- automysqlbackup, Backup Exec 2014, DPM 2012 R2
Monitoring solutions- WSUS, SCCM 2012 R2 Endpoint Point Protection
Ability to produce effective, detailed and accurate documentation
Liaise with Certificate Authorities and deploy SSL certificates on Windows/Linux servers.
