Working as the IT Service Desk Apprentice / Technical Help Desk Trainee you will provide high-quality customer service, technical advice and support.
As the IT Service Desk Apprentice / Technical Help Desk Trainee you will operate effectively and work to Service Desk Operational Level Agreements (OLAs) and comply with best practice.
As a successful candidate, you will have a great opportunity to work in this apprenticeship position, which is supported with an IT qualification.
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, candidates may have the opportunity to apply for a permanent position within the company.

The Big Lottery Fund (the Fund) distributes around £650 million of National Lottery Funding across the UK each year supporting health, educational, environmental, and charitable projects.

Duties
Your duties and responsibilities as the IT Service Desk Apprentice / Technical Help Desk Trainee:
Handle the day-to-day work that is generated by telephone calls, via the service portal and face-to-face employees to the IT Service Desk, providing an efficient, effective and customer focused service to stakeholders.
Support the satisfactory conclusion of all incidents as quickly as possible in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLA)
Log all calls received in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with IT Service Desk procedure.
Participate in regular team meetings
Maintain an understanding of customer focused service delivery.
Awareness of working within a customer service or service desk environment.
Awareness of working with procedural guidance and sharing information with customers.
Knowledge of Microsoft computer applications including Excel and Word.
A good standard of verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with a range of audiences.
Travel will be required to the Birmingham office on a monthly basis.
Candidate requirements
An understanding of IT
Ability to communicate well both in person and on the telephone.
Ability to work as part of a team
A* - C GCSE Maths and English, Functional Skills at level 2 or equivalent in Maths, English and ICT.
