CCA International has an exciting job opportunity within our IT Department for an IT Desktop Support 2nd/3rd line support, to work on a permanent basis. Working in Canary Wharf you will receive a competitive starting salary of £25,000.
The IT Desktop Support Role
This IT Desktop Support role will be office based at our principle UK site in South London as a 2nd / 3rd line support engineer. The successful candidate will be working as part of a team to deliver IT support for our 500 + in house users as well as external clients and 3rd Party Suppliers on occasion. The role will primarily be in a Windows, active directory environment however substantial experience working with Linux would be beneficial.
The successful IT Desktop Support will:
- Be patient and supportive while maintaining a view of the bigger picture.
- Be confident and capable of presenting ideas to improve productivity and efficiency within CCA International.
- Have experience providing support to both technical and non-technical users.
- Be able to demonstrate strong technical skills, with at least 2 years Level 2 support experience of.
- Windows server environments 2000 to 2012 R2, including Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Wireless Technologies and management through web portals.
- Private cloud technology
- Networking and Switching
- In Virtualisation, VMWare, Remote Desktop and firewall management.
Skills and experience needed to become IT Desktop Support:
- 2 + Years of experience in IT System and Networking.
- Unique competency in translating business issues into network solutions including opportunity identification, requirements development, delivery, support, and analysis.
- Hands-on experience leading all stages of system analysis efforts, including requirements definition, design, architecture, testing, and support.
- experience at managing cross-functional teams for fast-paced projects as well as complex projects.
- Window Server (2012, 2008, 2003)
- Active directory, group policy, ftp, dns, dhcp, iis, wds, wsus.
- Virtual Machine, Hyper-V
- Microsoft ISA Servers 2008/2006/2004
- Ms office 2007, 2010, 2013, 2021, 365, Skype for business.
- Remote Services -  Terminal Servers, Desktop Connection, Windows Desktop Sharing.
- Anti-Virus Server (Symantec Endpoint Protection), Norton Ghost.
- HP/Dell/IBM/ Samsung/Lenovo/Sony/Asus/Vaio– Server, Laptop and Desktops.
- Firewall ( Juniper)
- Switches, VLANs, Secure VLANs, Switch access.
- Window backup, Symantec Backup EXE
- Linux
