We are a UK-based company that provides news, data and analysis on emerging market investments, with focus on Emerging Markets. Our service is used by private equity investors, fund managers, advisors, governments and academics.
We are looking for an Investment Research assistant to work as part of the research and analysis team.
Based in London, the role would suit an individual interested in pursuing a career in investment banking or private equity, particularly in emerging markets.
• Source information for editorial team
• Research PE transactions to obtain missing data
• Research fund managers to obtain fund information
• Company specific analysis
• Prepare company tear sheets
• Research company financial statements
• Analyse PE transactions
• Industry and sector analysis
• Extensive data entry
Remuneration
This is a 3-month role.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in private equity research and analysis, and in-depth knowledge of the industry.
Excellent references will be provided at the end of role, if completed successfully.

An offer may be made for a paid part-time position after the first three months, based on performance and commitment.
Requirements
The candidate must:
• Have studied a finance-related course up to degree level
• Be highly numerate
• Posses excellent writing skills
• Be proficient in Microsoft excel
• Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Power-Point
• Be able to read and understand financial statements
• Be proficient in web-based research
• Be a self-starter, and able to work under minimum supervision
Schedule:
3 to 4 days a week.
