Job description
Joining as their Investment Research Analyst you will utilise your experience to support and develop the investment research and analysis function on the UK small cap and large cap equity market. Whether you are identifying potential investment opportunities; generating investment reports; attending conferences /events or ensuring compliance and due diligence is met, you will provide key insight and networking skills which ensures this department thrives. The role will require to undertake in depth research and analysis for new areas with investment potential; prepare high quality reports, outlining our analysis and advice
Main tasks
- Researches, analyses, and interprets financial information and market trends
- Secures and arranges mergers and acquisitions on behalf of clients
- Consults with lawyers and other financial experts as necessary to ensure legality and the best possible outcome for new deals
- Identifies innovative business opportunities to help clients expand and grow
- Works with clients to determine amounts of capital needed to meet business goals, and identifies markets or products from which to raise capital
- Conducting investigations into the financial and commercial state of companies subject to a particular transaction
- Constructing business ‘pitch book’ cases and presenting these to clients
- Assisting in managing the implementation of a M and A proposition
- Working with corporate finance colleagues to provide advice on capital structure
- Assisting in project managing transactions, overseeing the negotiation of terms and developing proposals to raise funds
Key Skills Required:
- Excellent numerical, written and verbal communication skills;
- Familiarity to working with deadlines and writing detailed reports;
- Word, Excel, Power Point and Internet skills;
- A high level of accuracy;
- The ability to work as part of a team;
- Demonstrable project management and multi-tasking skills;
- The ability to investigate and analyse corporate, financial and organisational models incisively and logically;
- The ability to adapt to different audiences and build effective relationships;
- A highly professional and ethical approach in representing the firm and its services.
- Motivated, creative and decisive in approach to problem solving
