We are seeking an ambitious, highly motivated, self-initiative seeking individual who will take on the role of a leather worker.
If you want to do something creative, have good practical skills and can pay close attention to fine detail, a career in leather craft at our factory may give you the chance you've been looking for.
As a Craft worker you will:
- work with various types of leather, including cowhides, nubuck, vegtan, shagreen and suede.
- work from a design pattern to measure and cut out leather sections and prepare the leather using solvents.
- hand/machine stitch sections together for linings, handles, Buckles and eyelets
- apply finishes to the leather, such as Stains and polishes.
You will use hand and machine tools, including cutting knives and awls. There is also the opportunity to use the sewing machine, clicking machine, splitting and skiving machine.
