Peabody has an exciting opportunity for an Information Security Officer to join our team in London.You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and will receive a salary of £50,000 - £60,000 per annum.
The Information Security Officer role:
To promote Information Security (IS) and champion best practices and compliance.  This includes specialist areas such as Cyber Essentials, Data Protection, Risk Management and Education.
Key responsibilities of our Information Security Officer:
- Monitor the effectiveness of the IS training. Establish mechanisms to test the effectiveness and value of the security training provided to staff.
- Help the organisation achieve and maintain Government approved Cyber Essentials + accreditation.
- Help maintain compliance both with the internal IS policies above, applicable laws and regulations.
- Help manage the IS incident response process (e.g, risk analysis, containment, and resolution oversight) and assist in the investigation, remediation and reporting of any IS breaches.
- Monitor the Peabody Siem solution and investigate security events and alerts, taking into account system and application logs, network security appliances, user activity, and netflow data.
- Perform information security risk assessments of key IT systems and assets.
- Assist in managing IS vulnerability assessments, including working with outside consultants, as appropriate, for independent security audits.
Skills/experience required by the Information Security Officer:
- experience implementing best practice and compliance in Information Security.
- Excellent understanding and practical experience of enterprise Information Security, and knowledge of UK Laws, regulations and standards, including Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, GDPR (General Data Protection Act) and ITIL.
- experience of Cloud technologies and security practices around them eg. Azure, AWS.
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft cloud based services (e.g. Office 365 and Azure)
- experience in the use of Siem tools (e.g. Solar Winds, Splunk, or similar)
- Exposure of vulnerability management tools (e.g. Nessus, Outpost24, Qualys, App Check or similar)
- A working knowledge and understanding of IT architecture, IT infrastructure technologies, application development, IT service management and operations and how Information Security integrates and supports them.
- experience of 3rd party vendor management, in particular, working with outsourcers of infrastructure hosting and operations, and providers of related services from an Information Security perspective.
