Peabody has an exciting opportunity for a Thamesmead Information Manager to join our team in London. The successful applicant will join us on a full time, permanent basis and will receive a salary of £35,000 - £38,000 per annum.
Peabody, in partnership with the Royal Borough of Greenwich and the London Borough of Bexley, is embarking on an extensive regeneration programme for Thamesmead in South East London that will span 30 years, build thousands of new homes and support both existing and new communities in the area. Plans are now gaining momentum. New homes are under construction, investment is underway into existing homes and public spaces, an ambitious programme of arts, culture and socio-economic programs are underway.
The Thamesmead Information Manager will be responsible for coordinating and sharing information about Thamesmead, becoming the go-to person for all things Thamesmead.
Equipped with in-depth knowledge about what’s happening in the area, you’ll then be helping raise awareness within the local community about the regeneration process and the projects that are underway. This Thamesmead Information Manager role will involve attending meetings, forums, events and activities across Thamesmead, building your relationships and networks across the town.
As the Thamesmead Information Manager, you’ll also be responsible for finding out and capturing local opinions and views of the community within Thamesmead, and feeding back that information to teams across the business. This will make sure that projects reflect local opinion and that residents are involved in our projects.
When you’re not out and about in the community, you’ll be based in the Thamesmead office overseeing the set up and running of the exciting new Thamesmead Information Hub, creating a welcoming and accessible point of contact for local people.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic individual with excellent communication skills, who is passionate about connecting people and places. You will be a key member of the Thamesmead directorate, and will be helping to shape this exciting period of change in Thamesmead, becoming a passionate local ambassador for Thamesmead.
