Salary: ranging from £30,000 to £32,500

You will have the required level of skills and knowledge for preparing, cooking and finishing complex made to order regional Indian Curry dishes and using fresh raw ingredients and traditional cooking methods. You will be required to prepare complex marinades, concentrated stock, herb and Spice blends, and ingredient fusions as formulated by our Culinary Designer and / or Head Chef.
You will have the required level of skills and knowledge for preparing, cooking and finishing complex made to order regional Curry dishes entrees using fresh ingredients and traditional cooking methods. You will be required to prepare complex marinades, concentrated stock, herb and Spice blends, and ingredient fusions as formulated by our Culinary Designer and / or Head Chef.
As a line chef you will be responsible for prepping ingredients and assembling dishes according to the company's recipes and specifications. You will also be involved in planning of seasonal dishes and specials. You will work in conjunction with senior Chefs and Culinary Designer. You will also be training supervising junior chefs, further duties will include monitoring and management of food waste, dealing with suppliers, rotation quality checks, implementing and ensuring compliance of hygiene and health and safety guidelines. You will also regulate and monitor food temperatures, and assist in cost analysis and review, and preparing reports and schedules, performing key duties as assigned.
To qualify for selection you must have the following minimum requirements: -
Eligibility to live and work in UK
High level creativity and competency in preparation of authentic North and South Indian dishes.
Adept in the handling, care and maintenance of specialist preparation equipment.
Previous experience at senior skill level to be verified by references.
In addition you should also be:-
Hands on, task orientated and resourceful.
Have an eye for detail,
A tremendous zeal for quality and perfection.
Customer and business focused
Performance, achievement and results driven.
Able to work well with other members of staff.
Energetic and physically fit
Able to command respect of management and colleagues.
Display leadership, and be motivational and inspirational to junior staff.
Possessed with pleasing personality and positive attitude.
