The Arena Group is looking for experienced ice skaters, skate exchange and box office staff to work on their outdoor ice Rink at the Tower of London this winter.
The ice marshal’s role is to ensure the safety of all visitors on the ice Rink and to provide an enjoyable experience, and of course will need to be a confident skater. This role will include working as part of the skate exchange team, as you will switch between the ice and skate exchange counter. Skate exchange staff do not need any ice skating experience, but will get the opportunity to have a go on the ice in the quiet times. Skate exchange staff must have a positive attitude, and be very customer focused! Previous marshalling and skate exchange experience is preferred, but not essential.
The role of box office staff is the selling of tickets to the customer, managing and balancing your till for the day’s trading, providing customer information and providing assistance to the management team with administration. Previous experience at cash handling, operating a till and basic computer literacy is necessary.
For all roles, a friendly outgoing nature is required along with good customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, as the shifts can be very long
We have full time roles, and part time weekend roles. The ice Rink is open 7 days per week, between 9:00 and 22:00. Full time roles are minimum 5 days out of 7, which will include most weekends, and part time is weekends only.
However, if you are interested and have the right attitude, we are flexible.
Location: Tower of London, EC3N 4AB
Operating dates: 17th November 2021 – 2nd January 2022. Ideally available one week before and after, for training and packing up.
Rates of pay: £8.00-£8.50/hour
First Aid certificates / experience and DBS (CRB) checks will benefit, but are not essential. Please indicate if you have one or both.
