Hub Volunteer Vacancy in London

Hub Volunteers (South London, Various, Viridian Housing. We are looking for volunteers to support our M.O.R.E Hubs based in various South London locations. The Hubs are a drop in service for Viridian residents to come in and get support from a range of different services. Each week a different team supports the hub such as Financial Inclusion, Housing, Repairs, Employment and Customer Services. The role involves working on reception to be the initial contact with the residents and supporting them with their query.
This may appeal to graduates or an experienced person with transferrable skills. However, we do not require specific experience of social housing or financial education as we will provide relevant training with qualification you need for this role.
This is a great role to lean more about housing and the services Viridian provides to it’s residents. It’s a great stepping point to a career in housing as a career, as well as put into practice general office skills that will boost most CVs. People who want to change careers, or people who are seeking a re-entry into the workplace after raising families or periods of unemployment are welcomed.
We are not looking for experts, but those who are committed and can demonstrate their transferable skills and potential. We are looking for people who have the following personal qualities:
•Reliable, hardworking and can commit at least 6 months to go through a structured programme of training and volunteering
•Excellent communication skills – able to communicate effectively to a broad range of people through phone, email and face to face
•Eager to learn new skills to help others
•Can-do attitude, self-motivated and enjoys new challenges
•Customer focused, with the ability to work well with customers from all social and economic backgrounds, in a non-judgmental and practical way.
•experience of working in a collaborative environment
•Strong admin skill and is computer literate – able to use basic Microsoft packages and databases
