We are looking to recruit 3 further Housing Advisors in order to support those affected by recent events in the Borough. Candidates should have: - a broad knowledge of housing, but do not necessarily have to have worked as housing advisors before; they will not be undertaking part VII assessments- good spelling and grammar; able to write good quality reports- must be logical thinkers- good people skills as they will be in direct contact with the public Successful candidates have in the past come from support work, housing benefits, tenancy relations and retail/customer service backgrounds, as well as housing needs. Written tests and face-to-face interviews are intended to be scheduled for 20th/21st July with starts soon after. Please note that the pay rate is the current maximum - please note pay rates on the CV and/or submission notes on c.net DBS - I don’t think it has to be enhanced as they won’t be working with children. If they don’t have one because it’s expired they should still be able to start – we would do a risk assessment whilst we waited for it to come through.
