1909E HOUSEKEEPER/COOK - Live in, Brighton, UK (1 h from London via train)
This celebrity couple has a 16-year-old residential daughter and they are looking for a responsible Housekeeper/Cook for their 6-bed beach townhouse in Brighton.
Duties:
- cleaning, washing and ironing
- Running the house, dealing with contractors and tradespeople
- House and pet-sitting of two cats and walking a German Shepherd dog
- Food and household shopping and some cooking (the principals are keen cooks and into healthy eating, so the housekeeper do not have to cook that much)
- Flower arranging and care of house plants
- School runs in the mornings and pick ups
- Occasional sole charge is needed during term-time
- Occasional organising and driving of the daughter and dog on Friday after school and picking up on Sunday nights when the family are spending the weekend at their farm which is 45 minutes from Hove, Brighton
- During most school holidays the family is not in residence so the working week will be overseeing the maintenance of the house and routine cleaning only
Notes/Requirements:
- This is their main base during term time, during the holidays the family moves to their other residences. When they are out of the house, the workload is less
- Discretion is a must
- Informal family
- Flexibility during school term times is a must
- The principals are in London from Thursday night to Friday evening and in busy periods on other nights too
- Must be computer proficient, able to deal with emails and on-line shopping as needed. The family diary is on-line so you will need to liaise with the principals for the school diary and appointments etc.
MUST: Drivers license (car is provided)
Working hours: Monday to Friday with some flexibility for weekends (40 h per week)
Salary offered: £30.000 gross per year
Accommodation offered: Live in, 1-bed self-contained basement flat with own entrance (fully furnished with Wi-Fi, TV, kitchen and bathroom)
Starting date: August 2022 or they can be flexible for the right candidate.
