Housekeeper / Cook. Kensington. Live In. Full Time.
We are looking for a special person to fill an important role within our happy household. Someone with a mature disposition, who is conscientious, highly organised, house proud and has a real love of food and cooking.
The role comprises:
• Preparing and cooking the breakfast and evening meal for the family and keeping the kitchen clean and tidy. All food shopping and making various homemade goods.
• Laundry and clothes care. Managing the dry cleaning deliveries, packing for holidays
• Specialist cleaning (silver, front of house, master suite etc). Another member of staff is employed in the mornings to carry out the bulk of the household cleaning.
The role would suit someone who is upbeat and likes to work in an informal and friendly environment. There are two children aged 7 and 9 in the household so a liking of children is essential (a nanny is also employed). experience in a similar role will be necessary. Most important will be an attitude of responsibility, cooperation and flexibility as you will be part of a small team in a family environment.
Candidates will need to show that they have stayed with families for more than two years as this is a long term position. They will also need to speak English fluently and be able to provide excellent references. Driver preferred but not essential.
The hours are 7am till 7pm Mon to Thursday. 7am to 5pm Friday (inc 1 hour lunch break daily) Good package for the right candidate.
The family travel during school holidays and you will need to travel with them on occasion.
