House Manager Vacancy in London

Located in the heart of Central London, on a quiet, tucked-away street a stone’s throw from Westminster our client, a High-Profile International Individual is seeking an experienced, empathetic and discreet House Manager to oversee the smooth daily running of a fully-staffed, formal household.
You will need to have initiative, be highly-organised, efficient and confident in all aspects of household management, be able to recruit and manage auxiliary staff and ensure a consistent and high level of standard service.
Previous experience working in a formal, large operation is essential, along with existing employment working for a client in the public eye.
Location:          Central London
Hours:              As required
Salary:              Dependent on experience.
Interviewing:     as soon as possible
Start Date:        as soon as possible
Notes:              Up to date DBS required.

Responsibilities

Running the house to a 5* level, including the organisation and implementation of systems.
Buying and arranging cut flowers
Keeping detailed and accurate records, accounts, inventories and consumables lists.
Writing and implementing household manuals, listing all details of the day to day requirements and operating procedures of the property.
Acceptance of being hands on and assisting other staff with housekeeping duties.
Recruiting and managing a wider team of staff for the 360° running of the property.
Carrying out provisioning, shopping and other errands as required.
Assisting the Private Office with the planning and running of private events.
Understanding the operating household systems including TV, WiFi, Secuirty etc.
Liaising with outside contractors as required.
Ensuring all household bills are forwarded for payment.

Required skills

Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a formal household / hotel environment.
DBS cleared and up to date
Down to earth and happy to Muck in
Willing to travel if required
English speaking to a confident and competent level.
Clean driving licence
Confident and efficient with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
Experienced in management of a large team of staff.
Incredibly trustworthy and discreet
Enthusiastic and proactive
