Hotel Chef – The Queen’s Gate Hotel, South Kensington, SW7 5JA.
£10.00 An hour + review after 4 months + paid overtime.
We have a vacancy for a full time Hotel Chef working 5 shifts, across a 7 day operation. Shifts are usually 06.15 to 15.00 or 14.45 to 22.30 for breakfast buffet and a la Carte lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.
About the role
As a Chef you will have a love for preparing and cooking great products to brand specification, ensuring every guest who eats with us has a great experience from the moment they receive their food. You will work as part of a team of 3 (1 per shift) and be fanatical about delivering quality food having high standards.
Main Responsibilities

Prepare, cook and present amazing food in accordance with brand standards.
Taking pride in maintaining highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
Adhere to safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
Use and keep Food Alert monitoring system updated daily.
Being a valuable part of the wider team to ensure the best guest experience.
Ordering of supplies from nominated suppliers to obtain value for money.
Keeping your service area clean, tidy, and well-prepared.
Prepare staff rotas and working together with your team to make sure you deliver consistently great service and helping each other.
Keep your line manager up to date with any problems and follow up where necessary.
Carry out stock rotation procedures
Prempt problems before they arise and resolve promptly when they do.

The ideal candidate will have:
·A passion for cooking.
·A mature and hard-working attitude.
·Friendly and collaborative attitude.
·Good level of spoken and written English.
·Level 2 food hygiene certificate
Basic computer literacy in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
Good knowledge of food allergens, Health and Safety, Food Safety, HACCP plan.
