Hostess / Host - Arena Bars at the Royal Albert Hall, South Kensington. Salary from £8.00 per hour plus service charge, up to 36 hours per week.

Since January 2011, rhubarb have been at the Royal Albert Hall providing all food and drink at one of the world’s most iconic venues. The Royal Albert Hall operation consists of 6 dining spaces, including: Verdi Italian Kitchen, Coda Restaurant, Elgar Bar and Grill, Cloudy Bay Seafood Bar, Berry Brothers Wine Bar, 14 bars, 1 retail outlet, 147 hospitality boxes and offers seated dinners for up to 2000 guests on a special raised floor in the auditorium.

We are currently looking for a hostess / host to work in Berry Bros. And Rudd No.3 Bar, a lively yet elegant and sophisticated bar from Britain’s oldest wine and spirit merchant. Serving sliders, sandwiches and sharing platters, with an emphasis on aged cocktails and fantastic wines.
Job role

Welcome and great customers, showing them to their tables.
Provide table service and bill processing.
Demonstrate an in depth knowledge of all beverages, menu items which will enable you to answer customer queries with confidence.
Excellent communication and upselling skills.
Setting up floor and back area for service.
Clean floor and back area

Candidate profile

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in English.
Previous cocktail or bar experience
Excellent Customer Service Skills and ability to understand and respond to individual guest’s needs and requirements.
Knowledge of Classic cocktails and Wines.
Immaculate grooming standards.
Must be attentive, charismatic, knowledgeable and passionate about spirits, wines and cocktails.
