We are looking for a full time hostel reception manager for our 90 bedroom hostel in the heart of Earls court, Central London. This is a very exciting role under new management with great opportunity to grow within the company. It will suit someone who is currently working as a team leader or as a reception manager in a hostel or hotel. The role is more hands on and to be part of a new team. Only candidates with experience should apply for this position.
To be familiar with the day`s business, including arrivals, departures, special requests, etc.
To have thorough understanding of all requirements when checking-in and/or checking-out a guest (confirm booking, length of stay, package etc).
Manage all reception staff including Rota and holiday request.
Manage all reservations including group booking.
Communicate hotel services to guests, i.e. Opening and closing times and Food and Beverage outlets, advise what amenities are available e.g. Bar, dinner, snacks, etc.
Handle all guest enquiries and complaints in a professional manner.
Ensure all cash, charge, float and till procedures are carried out in accordance with Company policy.
To assist in the smooth running of the reception desk during your shift.
To ensure all company policies are adhered.
Assist managers when required
To act as a duty manager
We are also looking for hardworking and multitasking receptionists for the busy hostel:
You will be expected to create bookings through our software, reply to emails, follow precise check in and check out procedures, check on breakfast stocks, liaise with housekeeping time to time.
experience will be preferred but not essential - full training will be provided, you have to be welcoming, polite, and Smiley.
We are looking for someone with flexibility regarding working hours and who will be willing to work split shifts if required.
Working hours per week will average around 40 to 45 hours per week.
