The Birds Pub in Leytonstone is opening a brand NEW Hostel and we are searching for a reliable night Porter who can handle a variety of tasks simultaneously, while also delivering a high level of customer service. The Porter will be responsible for greeting guests as they check in at the front desk and overlooking their stay at the Hostel. The ideal candidate for this position has a positive attitude and is dedicated to making each guest’s stay as pleasant as possible.
Responsibilities include:
Ensure all the guests check in and check out accordingly.
Explaining features of rooms and accommodation facilities to guests as they check in.
Maintaining appearance, cleanliness, and safety standards in hostel.
Ensuring guests leave safely in the event of an evacuation.
Respond immediately to assigned guest calls that concern minor room maintenance and other guest needs.
Bar service.
First Aider.
Requirements include:
Fast learner
Reliable and able to work nights/weekends
Exceptional customer service skills
People person
Be polite, friendly and approachable
Clean and tidy appearance
Good communication skills
Strong work ethic and motivation
Positive attitude
Knowledge of local area
Please note this is a full time position on a Rota basis covering 3X10 h shifts, starting at midnight to 10am. The pay is circa £7.50 per hour.
