Since January 2011, rhubarb have been at the Royal Albert Hall providing all food and drink at one of the world’s most iconic venues. The Royal Albert Hall operation consists of 3 restaurants: Verdi Italian Kitchen, Coda by Eric Chavot, Elgar Bar and Grill, 14 bars, 1 retail outlet, 147 hospitality boxes and offers seated dinners for up to 2000 guests on a special raised floor in the auditorium.

We are now looking for a Box Host to join our Event Operations team.

Overview:
A drinks and box host will interact with arriving guests in their hospitality boxes. The host’s role is to greet the guests, take their food and drink order and ensure its accurate delivery. You will be an ambassador for rhubarb at the Royal Albert Hall as you will be the face of our brand whom many of our clients will meet first.
The host will be fully versed in all duties within the hostessing team in order to provide the appropriate level of hospitality service, whilst ensuring all guests’ needs are met. This will at times include looking after VIP guests in private hospitality boxes.
Role and Responsibilities:

Liaise with our guests and provide an appropriate level of service in order to meet their needs.
Host up to 12 top VIP guests in private hospitality boxes, driving the profile and brand of rhubarb at the Royal Albert Hall.
Ensure the accurate entry of sales into Micros point of sale system.
Participate in trainings and review all relevant drinks/food menus to show knowledge of our offer.
Expand and display strong wine and spirit knowledge to ensure service and sales on the highest level.
Work to up-sell and promote our products, increasing sales and revenue.
Be appropriately cross trained in all FOH departments, and be prepared to undertake other tasks and roles such as looking after rhubarb’s most important VIP guests in box hospitality and in private events.
