We are a young gardening company with a strong portfolio of private clients in London and surrounding counties. We are looking for a self-motivated maintenance assistant with a passion for gardening and a good eye for detail. The successful candidate will possess the ability to develop strong client relationships and will work well as part of a team. The role involves driving from site to site so we expect the candidate to have a clean driving licence. We offer a competitive salary and good opportunities for development.
Responsibilities:

General maintenance of gardens, including the implementation of lawn, pruning and mulching programs.
Planting of trees, shrubs and bedding plants.
Management of irrigation systems
Liaising with nurseries and other suppliers.
Adhering to Health and Safety procedures and correct working practices to ensure high standards of quality are always met.

Key requirements:

Excellent horticultural knowledge including pests and diseases and a recognised qualification – or in the process of gaining one.
Knowledge of irrigation systems
Good communication skills (fluent in English)
Ability to be pro-active in ensuring the gardens are well maintained.
Possessing a positive work ethic and happy to work in all weather conditions.
Must be physically fit
Clean driving licence and confidence with driving vans and trucks in central London.
Spraying licence would be useful
Openness to working in counties surrounding London.
Availability to work a varying length of working days.
