We are looking to recruit a Horticultural Sales Assistant with proven horticultural and retail experience and expertise.
The position requires the highest level of customer service, demonstrating exceptional product/ horticultural knowledge, and building strong customer relationships that result in increased sales and repeat business. Horticultural Sales Assistants are also accountable for the ongoing care, maintenance, and upkeep of all horticultural elements of the business.
Must be available to work weekends.
Principle Accountabilities

Excellent customer service teamed with exceptional product/ horticultural knowledge, creating relationships that result in increased sales and repeat business.
Passionate about plants and articulate in communicating a love of plants and gardening to our customers, experienced and novice gardeners alike.
You will have practical gardening experience or perhaps volunteered in a garden setting, demonstrating a passion for the subject.
Friendly, approachable, and open manner.
Able to work in a busy environment, dealing with customers and with our extensive stock range, while maintaining high horticultural standards in this unique environment.
The successful candidate will know and have visited Petersham Nurseries and understand that this is not an average garden centre, rather a destination nurseries with an international reputation.
RHS level 2 qualification preferred.
Relevant retail experience required.
