Based in a beautiful part of London, just 2 minutes walk from Hyde Park, and close to the V and A and the Natural History Museum, the Gloucester Road Oxfam shop is one of the busiest shops in London. Our aim is to fight poverty all around the world by raising as much money as possible by selling the items, which are donated to us.
As a member of Homewares Team, you will help to sort incoming donations of homeware items (small furniture, crockery, antiques, bric-a-brac paintings, and art), price the items, research rare and collectable items, arrange them at the shop floor and renew stock.
This opportunity will allow you to get retail experience, learn more about art and antiques, and be a part of a great international team fighting poverty.
You will:
- Sorting incoming donations of homeware items
- Researching the value of rare and collectible items
- Pricing the donated items according to the shop guidelines
- Arranging the items in the shop, making homewares displays to attract customers
- Reviewing the stock regularly to refresh the shop’s homewares collection
- Daily cashing up
No previous experience is needed, so don’t be afraid to apply, if you are successful, full training will be given. So if you are committed to fighting poverty, willing to learn new skills, and consider yourself a reliable and responsible person, then this opportunity is for you.

At least one 4-hour shift a week. Shifts are 10 am- 2 pm and 2 pm- 6 pm (Monday- Saturday) and 12 pm- 5 pm (Sunday).
