We are currently recruiting for the position of Home Delivery Supervisor
This is a fantastic opportunity for a supervisor looking to gain the crucial first step into a full management role. You will be reporting directly to the group operations director and receive full mentoring and guidance.

Masala Zone is a busy, stylish and informal restaurant, part of the highly successful London restaurant company MW Eat, all of whose restaurants have received considerable acclaim. We operate six restaurants across central London, offering enjoyable, memorable dining experiences – delicious Indian cuisine, exciting interiors and stylish hospitality.
Masala Zone offers genuine Indian food from authentic sources – the gourmet homes and street Stalls across India’s regions. Our cuisine is prepared from recipes passed down through generations, by top skilled chefs from each region.
THE POSITION
As Home Delivery Supervisor, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the group’s home delivery service which operates from five of our restaurants.
Your role will be centred on ensuring all of our customers continue to receive the correct deliveries in an efficient manner to the highest standards of quality in accordance with the company standard.
Position details
•The role could be both a full time or part time position of 5 days per week
- Full time - 5 days per week including weekends and bank holidays - working hours: 3 - 11pm
- Part time - 5 days per week including weekends and bank holidays -
working hours: 5.00pm to 11pm
•The role location is based primarily at the Masala Zone delivery centre in Earls Court, however you will be expected to occasionally attend the company head office for operations meetings and administration
Main responsibilities:
Full responsibility for the management of the home delivery service, including:
•Supervise and co-ordinate the home delivery service in Masala Zone Restaurants in Soho, Camden, Earls Court, Islington, Bayswater
•Ensuring all customer orders are delivered correctly in a timely and polite manner
•Responsibility for dealing with all customer complaints or queries
•Anticipation of any potential delivery service issues and readiness to discuss solutions with the Head of Operations
•Track sales and customers feedback by accessing reports in all restaurants, reporting performance to Head of Operations
•Working with the restaurant managers to maintain excellent communication at all times
Full responsibility for the daily supervision of the delivery centre team including:
•Recruitment for the delivery centre
•Monitoring attendance
•Creating staff shift schedules
•Employee training and monitoring of performance
Support provided to restaurant managers in the supervision of delivery drivers, including:
•Full responsibility for ensuring the home delivery service fully complies with health and safety and transport legislation.
•Immediate reporting of any employee issues to Head of Operations and human resources
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
•Must have call centre experience
.Must be outgoing and able to show initiative
•Ideally have previous experience in a similar role as a supervisor or switchboard experience. However, we will consider applicants who are looking for their next step in their career
•experience in London restaurant environment is preferred but not essential
•Ability to provide top customer care skills and demonstrate passion for the highest standards of service
•Have excellent communication skills with both guests and colleagues
•Have a smart appearance and be professionally confident, polite and welcoming
•experience of working within a multi-cultural environment and able to demonstrate totally diplomacy and tact at all times
•A passion for hard work and demonstrate effective time management skills
•Fluent in written and spoken English
•Proficient in computers is an asset
