The Role

Petersham Nurseries are looking for a passionate, creative and motivated Head Waiters/Waitresses with their new project in Covent Garden, opening early 2022. This role would suite a candidate that can deliver exceptional service and build rapport with guests. At the same time our Head Waiters/Waitresses will be great team players with an open mind, hunger for knowledge and a hands-on approach.

The role will be challenging but highly rewarding as one of the most anticipated openings of 2022. You will be at the forefront of this exciting launch.

Established near Richmond in South West London in 2004 it encompasses an internationally renowned restaurant. This year sees Petersham Nurseries bring the magic of their concept to Central London. Two restaurants (La Goccia and The Petersham), bar, retail store, deli and florist in a prestigious location in Covent Garden awaits. La Goccia – Petersham Nurseries interpretation of Cicchetti and aperitivo will be showcased within this vibrant and accessible all – day restaurant offering an extensive menu of small sharing plates. An open grill and a wood burning oven will add an element of drama and theatre to the ambiance, as food will be prepared in front of diners.

The Petersham- Upholding the strong values and ethos established in Richmond at Petersham Nurseries Café, The Petersham will add a new character to the existing fold. Transformed in Covent Garden setting, at the heart of the theatre district, The Petersham will debut, presenting itself as a sophisticated, refined, a la Carte restaurant demonstrating a chic and tailored style.

Necessary experience and Skills

·Have previous experience working within a high profile, destination restaurant.

·Be immaculately presented, attentive and proactive with the ability to respond quickly to needs of the guests and management team.

·Have a real flair and passion for food, drinks and guest care.

·Good food and wine knowledge

·An excellent team player with exceptional communication skills.

·Minimum 1 year experience in a similar working environment.
