Mode Search is delighted to be exclusively partnering with a Menswear and shirting brand currently undergoing an exciting period of change. Under new Executive Leadership, the brand is about to reposition itself as a leading ‘Made in UK’ luxury brand, starting with designing innovative and original collections.
Following their new direction the brand will be bring their shirt production back into the UK and as such are excited to be opening their own workshop/factory in the London. With this new workshop, they will become true UK makers of quality products where each shirt will be handmade, laid and cut by hand to give their customers perfection, with precise fitting and beautifully French seamed, teamed with the best and premium quality fabrics from Europe. When their Workshop opens at the end of this year, they will have a production of running and bespoke styles manufactured from this site ready for the brands relaunch.
With this exciting new journey, we are currently supporting them in their search for a Head Pattern Cutter to be based in their new workshop in London.
Role description

Responsible for lay planning
Manging the work flow
Laying up both bulk and bespoke shirting
Cutting by hand with a straight and band knife.
Overseeing the bundling and lay splitting.
Must have experience of laying 80/90 singles in one go, used to bulk cutting so 150 Shirts in one go with exact precision.
Responsibility of deciding from the Purchase Orders coming in which sizes to cut out with which sizes.
Will be managing a small team and will be expected to spend 20-30% of the time cutting themselves.

Profile
We are looking for individuals who:

Are currently working with Men’s Shirts
Have experience of bulk cutting
Strong leader and have experience managing a small team.
Have exceptional attention to detail, each shirt will be made and sent directly to the customer, so there is no room for error.
