£100000 per annum + bonus, car allowances
A well known motor insurance brand that is looking to hire a Head of Personal Injury Claims. You will be responsible for operational leadership and drive claims strategy across all related claims departments.
Job Role
* Drive operational performance of the personal injury claims unit
* Manage and develop a team of Personal Injury Handlers
* Ensure fully efficient regulatory controls across the claims department
* Provide technical leadership and sign-off all high value losses
* Represent the claims business in the market and speak at industry events where necessary
* Provide input to other teams such as underwriting and sales units
* Ensure selection of appropriate external suppliers and vendors
* Influence working culture and drive motivation levels across the claims team
Skills / experience Required:
* Extensive experience leading a personal / bodily injury claims department
* Expert level understanding of PI/BI assessment and relevant case law
* Strong understanding of litigation and catastrophic losses
* Strong commercial awareness within motor insurance
* Ability to manage vendors, suppliers and third parties
* Ability to drive claims performance and strategy
* ACII / CII preferred
